VIDEO AUDITION SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All video submissions MUST BE RECEIVED by SUNDAY, May 5, 2024 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST.

SUBMISSION COMPONENTS:
You will need to submit an audition packet with the following components:
1 - Application
1 - Clear non-pixelated HEAD shot (unaltered/unfiltered selfies are acceptable)
1 - 3-Part Video
1 - Choreographed Performance Link (Optional)
GENERAL VIDEO REQUIREMENTS:
- Video must be shot in COLOR.
- Video must be CLEAR and IN FOCUS.
- Ensure your video is shot in ADEQUATE LIGHTING (shots outside should be in the light of day, shots in a band room or gym should be well lit).
- Shoot video in LANDSCAPE mode (imagine being on TV).
- NO special effects, replays or filters.
- Introductions should be videoed from the waist up.
- Performances should be show your full body (ensure all motion and the entire flag is clearly viewable).
- Performances must be in a space appropriate for spinning and dancing (NOT in your living room).
INTRODUCTION ATTIRE REQUIRED:
- Nice, conservative outfit (imagine going to dinner with your grandparents or going on an interview for an office job).
- Hair neatly styled (no bonnets or head rags, no messy hair).
- Appropriate make-up (again, imagine going to dinner or on an interview).
- Earrings/necklace accepted.
PERFORMANCE ATTIRE REQUIRED:
- Basic form fitting dance attire: matching tank/leggings -OR- performance uniform
-Dark sneakers -OR- jazz shoes
- Hair secured away from your face (bun or ponytail)
- Light or no make-up
- No jewelry
Your video submission must include 3 parts:
PART 1 - VOCAL introduction:
- A vocal introduction of yourself
Introduction Requirements must include:
- Your name
- The City and State in which you reside
- How many years of flag/color guard experience you have
- Any leadership positions you've held
- Why you want to be a part of the Silver Breeze Flag Line?
- Why we should pick you to join the Silver Breeze Flag Line?
PART 2 - Prepared FLAG performance:
- A flag routine between 1-3 minutes
Flag Routine Requirements:
- Routine must include basic flag movements including but not limited to:
Drop spins, push (s)pins, figure eights, butterflies, and single/double spins (additional complex moves encouraged)
- Bonus points for tosses
- Must use music with no vulgar or foul language
PART 3 - STAND/STRUT performance:
(If you are from a 'corps-style' band that did not perform in the stands or only participated in winter guard,
research HBCU stand routines and strutting on YouTube.)
- One 8-count stand routine
Stand Routine Requirements:
-Include an 8-count rock in the beginning, repeat the 8-count stand routine 3 times, and close out
BONUS - Choreographed Performance:
- Find and submit link showcasing a flag routine you've performed in
- Can be a half-time show or Color Guard competition piece
(Submission of this portion is not required, but will provide you extra points.)
