A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM THE LADIES OF SILVER BREEZE
The Silver Breeze Flag Line is a multifaceted auxiliary unit that provides color, visual entertainment and flair with the Clark Atlanta University Mighty Marching Panther Band. We showcase our color guard talents and techniques while simultaneously providing entertaining performances through show-style traditions.

Audition Instructions and Requirements
Report outside the Band Room, 3rd door to the right upon entering the Stadium.
***Street parking is available (Do NOT park in the stadium parking lot)***
***Do NOT bring any valuables into the stadium***
***Do NOT leave any valuables in your vehicle***
The University, Music Dept., and Band Program will not assume liability or responsibility
for lost/stolen items, or immobilized, booted, damaged, or towed vehicles.
Audition Elements
Flag Fundamentals and Technique Tutorial/Evaluation
You will be evaluated on the fundamental movements of flag/color guard.
Movements include, but are not limited to basic dance fundamentals, drop spins, figure eights, butterflies, single/double spins, and tosses.
Silver Breeze Workshop
A workshop will be conducted to teach marching, strutting, 1-2 stand routines and a short flag routine.
These elements will be combined to create part of your final evaluation performance.
Original Flag Performance (Optional)
Applicants are encouraged to perform your own original flag routine for extra points.
Please see below for all requirements concerning your individual performance:
Flag routine must be AT LEAST 1 minute, but not longer than 2 minutes in length.
You must provide your own music.
You must provide a blue tooth capable device (most cell phones will suffice).
All music must be non-vulgar radio ready versions.
Final Evaluation Performance
You will perform the routine(s) taught to you during the Silver Breeze Workshop and participate in a short interview.
IMPORTANT AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
ARRIVAL TIME
You should plan to arrive 15-20 minutes PRIOR TO the call time to allow time for your personal preparation, including changing clothes if needed. Auditions will begin promptly at the specified time.
REGISTRATION ITEMS
1 - PRINTED 8 X 10 head shot (clear, non-pixelated selfies are acceptable)
(Clear and non-pixelated. Selfies are acceptable. Prints on copy paper from your computer are acceptable.)
1 - POSITIVE ATTITUDE showing your enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Attire
-Leggings or yoga pants (black preferred)
-Sports bra
-Athletic top or T-shirt (white preferred)
-Athletic shoes (black preferred)
-Hair should be secured AWAY from your face
-NO make-up; CLEAR gloss ONLY
-NO JEWELRY
SPECTATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE OF THE AUDITION PROCESS
All selections are final. While general feedback may be given, selection choices and scores will not be discussed with any applicants, parents, or previous coaches of the applicants.
